New Orleans Feel easy to get to ns
* Such a really nice, friendly, accomodating staff- * a hotel with (2) pools that's in french quarter is a luxury! U need a pool in nola since it's always hot there- Convenient location to all tourists spots-
Need some updating in the bathroom- change fixtures since they're starting to rust- Better cleaning service in the room especially bathroom- Need trash can in the bathroom-
Loved the pool area and antique rooms
They didnt tell me about the one hundred dollar deposit or fees for parking until I arrived
the culture and atomsphere
Friendly and helpfull staff, location excellent and rooms spacious and clean, beds co for table and delightful continental breakfast
Sometimes a bit noisy but most people mindfully of other residents after 10pm
the staff went above and beyond to help my sister and myself with our stay in New Orleans . Wonderful sound proofing in rooms and old new Orleans ambience as the hotel is a converted plantation home .
no refrigerators in rooms
No hot showers 3 out of 4 days. No internet 2 out 4 days. When I talked to the staff about these problems, rather than apologizing and trying to solve the problem, they invariably implied that it was my fault: I should have let the water run longer, I should have talked to the staff earlier etc. In fact, I talked to the staff as soon as I realized I had no hot water as well as every day during my stay. I also tried running the water longer to no avail. Etc.
Beautiful old architecture with a great pool in the courtyard. Walking distance to any point in the French Quarter. A laundry room for guests is a plus.
It is not fair of me to criticize as the day I checked in, the staff were busy cleaning up after hurricane Isaac and checking in all rooms for a busy weekend. They were without power in the main Hotel building, which did not affect me at all. They did everything in their power to make things right.
The beautiful little quaint rooms.. pool and landscaping LOVED THE BREAKFAST AREA ROOM..
The television was VERY poor... placement was also poor.. the bed poster blocked the view There were multiple rust places in the bathroom.. Mattress was very old and bed creaked with the slightest movement
Court Yard, Pool, Staff
Bathroom sink very slow to drain, shower was a sprinkle, floor was rough brick- hurt my feet to walk on, 30 year old TV, TV Remote not working - fixed, poor cable connection & I felt like I paid for a 5 Star room and got a 2.5 star room! Poor value at $189.00 a night, I feel the room is barely worth half that.
The rooms were clean. Breakfast was pleasing.
The staff was very pleasant. However, It was early in the morning I brought my luggage out to the front desk. the person there told me I could not leave it there. He was to busy to watch it. I had to take it back to my room and come back threee times before my shuttle came to pick me up. There was a roach in my bathroom. I was afraid to leave anything on the floor.
rooms were clean and within walking distince of most thing in area
the beds were not very good we stayed in two rooms and both beds sloped to the middle
It is a slightly older hotel with much character. It was fun being in the courtyard sitting by the pool in the quiet of the evening, even if we were not swimming. It was not one of the expensive hotels, staff were not innumerable. They were friendly and very helpful.
Staff was very nice. Room was clean and quaint. Parking was a big deciding factor for us as it is monitored and affordable. Also right behind hotel! Everything is within walking distance! We recommend staying here to everyone.
Water temperature is bi-polar. Let it run first and adjust before turning on shower.
Anything requested was met with action: recommendations for eating, repair on lamp, missing hook on door. It is walking distance from French Quarter and easy access for driving to other interest spots. Quiet. Easy to find on-street parking at all hours.
Small room. Only outside light was via glass door, but inside light was sufficient.
